CyberGun Privacy Policy

Effective 17 October 2026 · Last updated 17 October 2026

CyberGun ("the game", "we", "us") is a physics arcade shooter for Android and iOS made by an independent developer. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the CyberGun app and to the web preview at eyadroid.com/cybergun. The web preview sends no analytics or crash reports and shows no ads.

In short

1. Information stored only on your device

The game saves the following in its own app storage on your phone. It is never uploaded to us:

Settings → CLEAR DATA erases your progress and replays. Uninstalling the game erases everything it stored.

Sharing replay videos

When you choose to share a replay, the game creates a video file on your device and hands it to your phone's share sheet. Where it goes next is up to you and the app you pick. We never receive the video.

2. Gameplay analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

To learn which levels and guns are fun, too hard or confusing, the game sends anonymous gameplay events to Google Analytics for Firebase. Examples:

These events are tied to a random app-instance identifier created by Firebase, not to your name or account. Analytics in CyberGun does not read your advertising ID (Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA) or the Android ID, does not collect the iOS identifier for vendors, does not use Google Signals, and is not used for ad personalization. Typed text and replay content are never sent.

Analytics data is kept by Google for up to 14 months and then deleted.

3. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the game crashes or hits an error, a crash report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix it. A report contains the technical stack trace, the error type, the app version, device model and operating system, and a random installation identifier. It contains no personal content. Crashlytics follows the same USAGE DATA switch as analytics; turning it off also deletes reports that have not been sent yet. Crash reports are kept for about 90 days.

4. Remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config)

The game downloads settings from Firebase Remote Config (for example, how often ads appear) so they can be tuned without an update. To do this, Firebase uses a random installation identifier and your device's IP address for the request. No gameplay data is sent with it.

5. Your choice: the USAGE DATA switch

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

CyberGun is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: optional rewarded ads you choose to watch (for example to revive or try a locked gun) and occasional full-screen ads between levels.

Google's use of this data is described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

7. In-app purchase (REMOVE ADS)

REMOVE ADS is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details. The store tells the game on your device whether you own the purchase; we do not run a purchase server. Purchase events (with price and currency) are recorded in Firebase analytics when usage data is on. Settings → RESTORE PURCHASES gets the purchase back on a new device.

Data handled by Google may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under Google's standard contractual safeguards.

9. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. To use them:

We do not sell personal information for money. Where personalized ads count as "sharing" under US state law, declining personalized ads in the consent form or AD PRIVACY opts you out. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

CyberGun is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and is not part of Google Play's Families program or Apple's Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the game and data was collected, contact us and we will help delete it.

12. Security

Data sent to Firebase and AdMob travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Data on your device is protected by your device's own app sandbox.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at this address. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's store listing.
